Edelweiss Demat Account Charges
There are two Demat Account Charges involved. They are – Account Opening Charge and Annual Maintenance Charge (AMC).
The Demat account annual maintenance charges (AMC) are zero for the first year and are ₹300 or ₹500 from the second year as per the brokerage plan chosen by the client.
A hidden charge levied by the broker is – Depository Participant Fee (DP Charges/ Fees). Generally, it is not publicly announced. Edelweiss DP charge for Edelweiss Trading varies with the brokerage plan.

Edelweiss Demat Account Opening Charges
Generally, brokers charge a fixed amount for opening a demat account. But, for Edelweiss Demat Account opening, you do not have to pay any charges. Yes, you read that right.
You are supposed to pay nothing as demat account opening charges. The facility of the demat account is extended for free.
Edelweiss Trading Account Charges
Like every other broker in the stockbroking industry, Edelweiss also offers two in one account, i.e., trading account and demat account are opened together. This practice fastens the process and enhances the customer experience.
Thus, the DP charges and Annual Maintenance Charges (AMC) are the same for a trading account.
On a similar line, Edelweiss trading account opening charges are nil.
Edelweiss AMC Charges
Annual Maintenance Charges, also known as AMC, are deducted on a yearly basis. It is debited for maintaining your demat account and trading account.
The Edelweiss AMC Charges are levied based on the brokerage plan selected by the trader or investor.
As we’ve mentioned above, the Edelweiss demat AMC charges are free for the first year, and post that; you’ll be charged ₹300 per annum in the Lite plan and ₹500 per annum in the Elite plan.
